About Us

The Virginia Medical Freedom Alliance (VAMFA) is a non-profit, non-partisan coalition of Virginia doctors, other healthcare professionals, organizations, and citizens.

We are alarmed by the public health system’s encroachment over time, to the point of a stranglehold during the COVID crisis, on the freedom of healthcare professionals to provide private, individualized and evidence-based ethical care to their patients.

We are alarmed by the violations of true voluntary informed consent about what is done to our bodies and the bodies of our loved ones (my body, my choice).

In Virginia, more than 22,000 have died from COVID as a result of being denied life-saving early treatment and being subjected to inflexible one-size-fits-all hospital treatment protocols.

Our Mission Statement

VAMFA’s mission is to Educate, Engage, Protect Americans’ God-given rights, and Defend and Restore Constitutional restraints on the government of our republic.

What We Support

We support the Declarations of the Global Covid Summit,* a battle cry from doctors who are fighting for the right to treat their patients, and the right of patients to receive those treatments – without fear of interference, retribution or censorship by government, pharmacies, pharmaceutical corporations, and big tech. *Oct 2021, May 2022; children: Dec 2021, June 2022

We demand that these groups step aside and honor the sanctity and integrity of the patient-doctor relationship, the primacy of individualized health care, the fundamental maxim “First Do No Harm”, and the freedom of patients and doctors to make informed medical decisions.

We support:

  • Freedom of thought, conscience and speech regardless of viewpoint
  • A return to scientific integrity beginning with free and open dialogue between doctors and medical scientists
  • The sanctity and integrity of the patient-doctor relationship
    • The freedom to make informed, voluntary and private medical decisions for ourselves and our children without coercion, inducements, retaliation or social restrictions
    • The right of doctors to treat each patient individually, including the legal right to prescribe an FDA-approved medication for any reason they deem appropriate in their professional judgment
  • The unrestricted availability of and access to all preventive and treatment options by all patients and doctors in Virginia
  • Immediate cessation of the experimental genetic COVID injections (“vaccine”), particularly in children, pending a full and independent investigation of their associated adverse effects

We oppose:

  • Scientific viewpoint censorship
  • Interference in the practice of medicine and intimidation or retribution by government, Big Tech/Media, Big Pharma, pharmacies, and hospital systems
  • Unconstitutional government overreach

STOP

The C19 Shot from Going on Virginia’s Schedule of Required Immunizations for School Children

A fast-moving Virginia Dept. of Health (VDH) review of all the regulations about the Required Immunizations for School Children, plus a regulatory action may enable the Board of Health to add the COVID “vaccine” to the schedule of required immunizations

THREAT:

  • On Oct 20, 2022, CDC approved adding the COVID shot to the CDC Schedule of Immunizations for School Children. The VDH generally adopts what the CDC approves as “evidence-based, routinely recommended vaccinations.”

  • A major change in 2020 of VA statutory law 32.1-46. Immunization of patients against certain diseases took effect July 1, 2021. It empowers the State Board of Health with a regulatory pathway to directly change any of the immunization regulations, including the vaccination schedule: “The State Board of Health shall amend the State Board of Health Regulations for the Immunization of School Children as necessary from time to time to maintain conformity with evidence-based, routinely recommended vaccinations for children.”

  • The Board of Health may attempt for the first time to directly amend Virginia’s schedule of required vaccinations for school children to add the recently CDC-approved shot.

OPPORTUNITY:

  • The chapter of the VA Administrative Code that deals with all the regulations about the Required Immunizations for School Children (12VAC5-110 The State Board of Health Regulations for the Immunization of School Children) happened to be selected for a routine periodic review by the Governor’s new executive branch Office of Regulatory Management. This chapter includes the VA Schedule of Required Immunizations for School Children, Responsibilities and Penalties for noncompliance.
    • “The purpose of this review is to determine whether this regulation should be repealed, amended, or retained in its current form. Public comment is sought on the review of any issue relating to this regulation, including whether the regulation (i) is necessary for the protection of public health, safety, and welfare”
  • The notice of review was filed in the Nov 7 Virginia Register — less than three weeks after the CDC voted unanimously on Oct 20 to add the COVID shot to its Schedule of Required Immunizations for School Children.
  • This is a unique opportunity for medical freedom fighters to claw back our individual freedom of choice (informed consent or refusal) about any vaccination by requesting REPEAL of the entire chapter. Vaccine mandates and discrimination based on vaccination status should be prohibited even during a time of declared emergency or public health epidemic. See Key Point #3 below.
  • The public comment period (Nov. 7 – 28) is now CLOSED. Following the close of the public comment period, a report of both reviews will be posted on the [VA Regulatory] Town Hall and a report of the small business impact review will be published in the Virginia Register of Regulations.”

  • Email your comment to:
  • Call and email all the above about your concerns! And then please keep calling and writing. We must get their attention, make sure they hear you and know you are watching what they do. Always be right and polite.
  • We need to apply sustained pressure, especially on the Governor.
  • Post your comments on social media. Awaken the Mama Bears to what’s happening!
  • Distribute this call to action to your family, friends, colleagues, network of contacts/organizations.
  • Attend and make a short public comment at the VA Board of Health quarterly meeting (Dec 15). See details at vamfa.org > Events.
  • Show up at public appearances by the Governor with signs and comments.

Tips for effective comments, calls and emails:

  • Use your own words but include some of the key points (especially those in red below). You can cut and paste those into your letter or comment. They are aimed at refuting the likely basis on which the Board of Health would try to add the C19 shot to the schedule of required vaccines. Focus on one or two issues per letter or phone call.
  • Personalized comments are the most impactful! Include a personal story or connection with your issue.
  • Be clear and concise; keep it short and focused on the specific action you want them to take. Ask for something that is within their authority to do.

Virginia Board of Health

KEY POINTS

1. CDC approval of the shots as safe or effective was not “evidence-based.” Therefore, Virginia should not approve or require the shot for our children.

    • Healthy children under 18 have a 99.995% recovery rate and no risk of death from COVID, and the vast majority have minimal symptoms. Most children are already immune. The shot does not prevent transmission or infection with the virus.
    • There are several drugs proven safer than the shot that are effective at treating and preventing COVID in children.
    • The COVID shot is not a traditional vaccine and is inadequately tested, particularly in children. We are the test subjects.

    • The CDC and FDA did not determine the long-term safety of the current COVID shots in children before instituting current child vaccine policies. There are many unstudied and thus unknown concerns about the shot such as loss of fertility, cancer and autoimmune diseases.
    • The risks demonstrably outweigh the benefits of COVID vaccination in children. There is abundant evidence in official U.S. vaccine safety tracking databases that injuries from the COVID shots in children are catastrophic, including 64 U.S. deaths, 433 near-deaths and 308 permanently disabled (VAERS U.S. reports Nov 4, 2022).

2. The shot is not “routinely recommended” for children. Therefore, Virginia should not recommend or require the shot for our children.

    • An increasing number of countries (Denmark, Sweden, UK, France, Germany, Australia) and U.S. states (FL) have recommended against the shot in healthy children, especially in young children and babies.

3. Virginia parents have legal responsibilities and rights regarding their children. We don’t co-parent with the state. Virginia should repeal the entire Chapter of “Regulations for the Immunization of School Children.”

    • In Virginia, “A parent has a fundamental right to make decisions concerning the upbringing, education, and care of the parent’s child.” (§ 1-240.1)
    • Individuals have a fundamental human right of bodily autonomy (what is done to our bodies and those of our minor children) and the right to private, voluntary and informed medical decision-making (individual freedom of choice)
        • Private means honoring the sanctity of the patient-doctor relationship in making medical decisions
        • Voluntary means without coercion or penalties for an individual’s choice (consent or refusal)
        • Informed means after receiving complete and accurate information about risks, benefits and alternative options
    • The state’s role is to make healthcare available and accessible to its citizens, and not to mandate (require) any specific pharmaceutical products (drugs, vaccines) for all individuals or their children.

    • Note that the term “school” in these regulations includes public, private, religious K-12, pre/nursery school, licensed childcare center, family day home or developmental center. The regulations also apply to home-instructed, exempted, and excused children.
