During the May 6, 2024, Pandemic Response and Preparedness Joint Committee of the Virginia General Assembly, we learned sadly that the people of the Commonwealth were not considered “stakeholders.”

Through the diligent work of our volunteers and members of the committee seeking transparency and accountability, Tidal Basin Group, the company selected by the committee to review how the “stakeholders” did during the Covid-19 pandemic, has added a survey for the people of Virginia, the REAL STAKEHOLDERS. The Goal: Let our voices be heard. For four years, our voices have been silenced. Silenced on social media. Silenced in hospitals, doctor’s offices, by government officials, businesses and schools. Please take the time to share your story and the story of what you witnessed. This is the link to the survey: https://dls.virginia.gov/interim_studies_PRP.html

Your mission.

  1. Click on the link and complete the survey.
  2. You can complete the survey for each of the categories: Government and Regulatory Systems, Healthcare Systems and Emergency Management and Education.
  3. You are limited to two blocks of 300 characters. After you enter your first 300 characters, (a red notice will appear if you go over 300 characters), scroll down to the next prompt to enter an additional 300 characters.
  4. You can enter more than one response per category. Thus, if you wanted to address school closures and children wearing masks in schools in two separate posts on education, the system at this point is allowing that to occur.
  5. If possible, please try to include links to papers written or factual data. This does take up characters but it will place studies and other data in the hands of the committee. It will validate your reasoning.
  6. Please screen shot your response or after you hit submit, on the next page, click on the 3 dot icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen. This allows you to print your response. See image below.Pandemic Survey Screen Image
  7. Share this email with your friends, family, church and other organizations. We need thousand and thousands of people to respond. After you respond, please go to vamfa.org/contact and let us know you have responded to the survey.
  8. The format provided by Tidal Basin is not part of Regulatory Town Hall and does not follow the Code of Virginia in reference to Freedom of Information Act. https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title2.2/chapter37/
  9. We are asking the committee to make this survey and all comments made in ALL surveys taken by Tidal Basin to be officially added to the public record and/or ALL questions and responses be moved to Regulatory Town Hall.
  10. We are asking that this survey itself be moved to Regulatory Town Hall. If that occurs, you will not be limited in the number of characters you submit. We will update you if this occurs.
  11. Forty-seven organizations have been identified as having responded to a survey created by Tidal Basin. We are asking that the questions and responses to these surveys be made public.
