Dianna is a health care policy advisor and networking expert with national and international experience. In 2017, she was appointed by the Trump White House to Senior Policy Advisor for Global Health. In this capacity, Ms. Lightfoot’s responsibilities included interacting with the Department of Education, HHS, and the State Department, coordinating on health-related issues as well as global security, education reform, migration, the environment, and human trafficking.
In 2021, she co-founded and became Policy Director of the North Carolina Physicians for Freedom. This network of hundreds of physicians, health care leaders and other medical professionals seeks to support medical freedom, patient choice, patient rights, and medical privacy, among other related issues.
